Gathering of Artisans

3rd Annual

Gathering of Artisans

June 6th & 7th, 2026
10am-5pm

Northern New Mexico College Española Administration Building
A two-day juried mercado featuring 26 artists from Rio Arriba County, NM

The Gathering of Artisans is a heartfelt annual tradition that brings together artists from across Rio Arriba County—a region rich in creativity yet often underrepresented due to its rural and remote landscape. As organizers, it means a great deal to us to produce this event each year, offering a rare and meaningful opportunity for local artisans to showcase their work, connect with the community, and gain visibility. This gathering honors the deep cultural roots, resilience, and creative spirit that define Northern New Mexico, reflecting our ongoing commitment to uplifting artists in our region.

We are changing venue locations for 2026!

We have partnered with Northern New Mexico College to host our 3rd Annual Gathering of Artisans! NNMC has graciously provided their Administration Building, which will be able to hold 26 artists starting in the Rotunda, then the hallways leading to the Bookstore, and in the café area. Lazy Buffalo Trading Co. will be serving food out of their café in the admin building during the event.
