Bespoke wool felt eco-funeral shrouds and hand-crafted ritual tools.
I love thresholds, liminal crossings, and phase changes. My fascination with passages led me to my work—to support and assist with life transitions. I create ceremonies as well as ritual craft. I have a special emphasis around death, creating eco-friendly burial shrouds and cremation ash containers. I use natural fibers, mostly wool, to create simple, elegant, and functional alternatives to expensive coffins. Many of my shrouds and vessels are bespoke. I work closely with clients to design a shroud or cremation vessel that reflects their philosophy and sentiments. I enjoy learning from these one-on-one collaborations. I also delight in seeking inspiration from ancient funerary practices and the traditions of other cultures. Along with the shrouds, I make ritual tools such as rawhide rattles and hand drums, gathering baskets, beaded feather fans for smudging, and hand-painted silk altar cloths.
