Sly Dog Studio – David Gulisano [CANCELLED]

[THIS STOP IS CANCELLED] I was the 7th child and the 5th son in my family, so I grew up with a lot of big boy talk and interests, including cars. I learned how to bend, shape, solder, weld, and paint metal before the age of 10 years old; the same age that I rebuilt an old truck. That was the beginning of a lifelong hobby. Yet I never built lamps or shades until my wife asked me if I could make a shade for one of her stoneware lamps. That was a request that changed my daily focus. One Shade led to the purchase of a lot of equipment, materials, and experimentation. Designing and creating lamps has become my great adventure. Eventually, I want to incorporate my woodworking with the metal. The possibilities are endless, and I want to explore all of them.
