Abiquiú Studio Tour

Since 1994, the Abiquiú Studio Tour has been a self-guided driving tour that invites visitors to explore the studios of local artists nestled within the picturesque landscapes of Northern New Mexico. Held annually every October, this event showcases a diverse array of artistic expressions, from traditional to contemporary, against the backdrop of golden cottonwood trees and stunning mountain vistas. The tour offers art enthusiasts an intimate glimpse into the creative spaces of established, emerging, and student artists, fostering connections and celebrating the vibrant art community of Abiquiú. Details below.

Abiquiú Gathering of Artisans

Introduced in 2024, the Abiquiú Gathering of Artisans is an annual juried two-day mercado held during Spring or Summer that brings together artists residing in Rio Arriba County, New Mexico. This event celebrates the rich artistic heritage of the region by providing a platform for local artisans to showcase and sell their work. Visitors can explore a variety of handcrafted items, engage directly with the artists, and experience the cultural vibrancy of the community.
