David Gulisano – Sly Dog Studio

I learned how to bend, shape, solder, weld and paint metal before the age of 10; the same age that I rebuilt an old truck. That was the beginning of a long-life hobby. Yet. I never built lamps or shades until my wife asked me if I could make a shade for one of her stoneware lamps. That was a request that changed my view of metal. One Shade led to the purchase of a lot of equipment, materials and experimentation. Designing and creating lamps, hanging mobiles, tables, etc. has become my great adventure. The possibilities are endless.
