Helen Byers is an award-winning artist, illustrator, and educator who lives near Abiquiu. Since 2005 she has taught courses and retreats annually at Ghost Ranch, and occasionally at the Santa Fe Botanical Garden and the Georgia O’Keeffe Museum. She has also taught often at the New England Botanical Garden at Tower Hill (MA), the Concord Center for the Visual Arts (MA), and elsewhere. Her botanical and natural science drawings and paintings have shown locally, nationally, and in juried international exhibitions. She is a member of the American Society of Botanical Artists and its Pacific Northwest, New England, and Northern California chapters.
