Utilitarian and non-utilitarian ceramics

Ceramics, fired to cone 10 in a reduction atmosphere (stoneware). Methods include wheel-thrown, hand-built and extruded forms. Major aesthetic influences: Japanese, Moderne, California Funk. Jewelry is comprised of (usually) single beads from Antiquity (pre-Columbian and Middle Eastern) or natural found objects. Stringing of single, pre-Columbian beads involves time-intensive method of wrapping waxed thread around a thread core. Visual art is (often) dimensionally small, personal and comprised of found objects.
