In my early days, I did mostly drawing, painting, and some sculpture work, but when I moved to New Mexico, I fell in love with woodworking. The wood itself is comforting, grounding, and beautiful. I mostly use local woods like cedar and pine. Pine is excellent for carving and cedar is just so beautiful and aromatic.my inspiration for what to make often comes from the wood itself.
