Ceramic sculpture based on the figure
I hand build figures, both human and animal, from clay. I aim to create soulful, expressive characters and attempt to capture their essence. My pieces are fired at high temperatures, 2000 degrees or higher, so are strong enough to be placed outside. I also construct functional items, i.e. cups, bowls, vases, etc. Clay can drive me crazy, but I love it.
